Chemical Wash

What is the difference between standard servicing VS chemical cleaning?

Chemical washing involves strong solvents that are safe for all aircon parts and is more thorough compared to standard servicing. Our technician will be able to assess whether the present state of your AC requires chemical wash already. Find out more at https://www.coolearth.com.sg/chemical-wash/

What are the differences between the dismantle aircon chemical wash VS non-dismantle aircon chemical wash?

When looking for a chemical wash service, you will be made to choose between dismantling and non-dismantle coverage. Dismantle service will remove every part of your AC unit to be cleaned piece by piece. Non-dismantle will only focus on the major parts and allow the chemical solution to clean all other parts simply.

How much does the aircon chemical cleaning service cost?

Our non-dismantle chemical cleaning rate will start from $80 to include one condenser unit. For a more comprehensive dismantle chemical washing service, a budget of $150-$180 will do. Know more about chemical wash here: https://www.coolearth.com.sg/chemical-wash/

When should do I aircon chemical wash?

One of the main reasons for a chemical wash is when an aircon has not been cleaned for more than a year, and are showing signs of more complex problems including a compressor that is already heating too fast, or long time to cool despite cleaning the filters.

Should I do the aircon chemical wash by myself?

No. Chemical washing is an extremely complex job that should only be handled by professionals.

Installation

How much does the aircon installation cost?

Yes, we do have a survey fee, which can still be waived if you intend to proceed with the installation proposal. We conduct a site survey to provide you with a more accurate installation quotation.

How do I know the power capacity needed by the aircon?

Generally, you can compute the power consumption of an AC through the following formula:

Units = Power in Watts * time in hours / 1000

What is an inverter type aircon?

Inverter type of aircon has a compressor motor with more variable speed, which means that it can adjust to the temperature of the surroundings aptly.

What is the difference between an inverter aircon and non-inverter aircon?

The main difference between these two aircon types is the energy consumption. Since inverter aircons have more adapting compressor motor, you will be able to save more on energy by having an aircon that is not constantly at work, as its speed will depend on the temperature of the room.

However, the space and regulations of the building or property still need to be considered, if it permits the installation of inverter aircon.

How long will aircon installation last?

Generally, aircon installation will last between 4-8 hours.

How long will my air conditioner last?

You can expect air conditioners from top brands to last for up to 10 years, especially with constant maintenance.

Is there a way to know if your recommended system works best for my property?

Definitely. Our technicians will be happy to explain the entire process for you to guarantee that the air conditioning system will truly work for you. You can read more about how we do this here https://www.coolearth.com.sg/aircon-installation/

Is the aircon installation process compliant with the Health and Safety Regulations imposed in our property?

Yes, we have all the necessary permits and certifications to pass through these regulations.

Is the technician’s assessment of the property really necessary?

Problem Solving

Is there also a need to service an outdoor condenser, and how often should it be done?

While this may seem like a low maintenance type of condenser, it is still advisable

Why do is my aircon making noise?

A noisy aircon is often a sign of a loose fan or other items that have fallen within the unit. Noise in the aircon should therefore not be ignored for a long period.

My aircon is leaking water, is this normal?

No. In most cases, leaking water means that your aircon already needs to be cleaned. The accumulated dirt particles will cause the evaporator coils to freeze, thus the leaking water. But there might be other reasons too. Please contact us to help you check further.

Why is my aircon not cooling the room anymore?

This could signal a problem in your compressor, the part of AC that is responsible for creating the cold air. Dirty aircon may also cause your aircon to take a lot of time to achieve the desired temperature.

At what temperature will my AC be able to cool my room?

It depends on your settings, but it’s advisable not to set it too low to avoid having an overworked AC. The ideal temperature is between 23-25 Celsius.

I can’t adjust the temperature of my aircon lower, what could be the problem?

This could be an issue in your thermostat that may need recalibrating or some particle that is blocking your condenser causing difficulty in cooling down the room.

My aircon is emitting a bad, burning smell, what could be wrong?

This can be caused by faulty wiring, mouldy interiors, and even insects and other particles stuck inside your aircon.

What can the air purifying filter do to my AC and how often should it be changed?

Air purifying filters will ensure that you will be breathing healthy air with your AC on. Depending on the frequency of usage, you may need to change it every six months.

Is it normal to see ice form on the condenser pipes?

It’s one of your signals to have your aircon serviced because it could mean a leak in your refrigerant causing the temperature to drop really low.

My AC suddenly turns off, but I still see the status light blinking. What could be wrong?

This is often a problem with the frosted evaporator coil. If left unaddressed, this can permanently damage your aircon.

I can’t turn on my aircon without the remote control, is there anything I can do about it?

If you encounter unresponsive or defective remote control, you can always use the power and control buttons installed in the aircon and have it manually controlled until you get the remote control fixed.

What’s the best option for the defective air conditioner? Should I repair or replace it?

Repairs are always the more affordable options, but the more accurate decision will come from a professional aircon technician who can assess the actual state of the aircon.

My AC does not automatically restart even after pressing the power button?

You may wait for a few more minutes, as this is usually your system’s way of protecting itself from further damages.

The aircon system seems to turn off by itself, is this normal?

No this is not normal and should be looked into by an aircon specialist ASAP, as this could lead to further damage to your AC.

What is the ideal frequency for cleaning the air filter?

You can clean your filter at home at least once a month.

If I am constantly cleaning my filters, do I still need aircon servicing?

Yes, the filter is just one part of the air conditioner that keeps it working. The compressor, fan coils, and condenser also need regular checking.

Do I always need to set the fan speed to high?

No, you do not have to. Once you can achieve your ideal temperature, you can also reduce your fan speed to help trap cold air.

Will dust cause problems in my AC?

Accumulated through time, dust can definitely be one of the most common problems of air conditioners.
